Job Summary

 

 

The U.S. Global Media Organization is a non-profit, multimedia broadcaster that provides news and information and engages with audiences in the Middle East and North Africa.

The TV Networks are part of a respected media conglomerate seeking a dynamic DIGITAL EDITORIAL leader who has strong editorial management skills to expand its social media footprint across all TV, 
radio and digital properties.  This Managing Editor will work with fellow talented media executives in the executive offices and global headquarters in the U.S.

The Media Organization is looking for a Maghreb subject matter Managing Editor to direct all content and operations of a new online digital TV platform designed to provide information and directly engage target audiences in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya & Mauritania on a wide spectrum of political, social, and cultural issues.  The Managing Editor will lead a team of Assignment Editors, Reporters, Community Managers and other staff in the U.S. and throughout the Maghreb to create a new on-line presence designed to provide news and information and engage the target audience. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Managing Editor include, but are not limited to the duties listed below in this job description for a talented Managing Editor.

 

Duties

 

  • Oversee the creation and implementation of a brand new TV Network Digital platform dedicated to The Maghreb

  • Lead Assignment Editors and a new editorial team in the development of high quality, relevant content to spur audience engagement and real-time community discussion

  • Ensure fresh, mission-driven content is produced and available on a timely basis

  • Ensuring all platform content complies fully with journalistic code, social media policies, and style guidelines

  • Inform leadership of all current and emerging issues related to the new digital property

  • Collaborating closely with technical staff to ensure effective content presentation

  • Consistently provide sound editorial judgment, professional accountability and integrity

  • Demonstrate initiative and creative thinking to develop new story forms, editorial campaigns and alternative approaches to improve mission delivery

Job Summary

 

The Editor-in-Chief leads all digital content development to engage audiences throughout the Middle East and North Africa.  The incumbent provides quality assurance of all Network digital output on all Network digital platforms.

 

Duties

 

  • Leads and directs the production of engaging, high quality news, features, interviews, actualities and other digital content to expand the TV and Radio Network’s reach.

  • Fluency in Arabic and English

Summary

 

The Brand Manager devises, develops and directs implementation of  the media conglomerates’ multi-media marketing strategy, leading branding efforts for all Television, Radio and related digital properties throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

The Brand Manager manages contracted marketing firms and coordinates internal and external activities in support thereof at the strategic and tactical levels.

Job Duties

 

  • Create, implement and measure the impact of a comprehensive marketing program and branding strategy to enhance the media properties position throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

  • Develop innovative, timely, creative, and cost effective approaches to maximize market impact across the region.

  • Assessing and pursuing placement opportunities throughout the region.

  • Establish and monitor progress against benchmarks for each campaign and activity.

  • Ensure consistent branding throughout the organization and to all constituencies both internal and external.

  • Keep informed of developments and best practices in marketing, especially within the target region.  Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitive strategies to identify potential challenges and opportunities in the short and long term.

  • Develop and execute branding strategies with cross functional teams.  Collaborate across departments to ensure awareness of strategic objectives, priorities and defined plans.

  • Lead the integration of marketing communications efforts in social media.  Work across multiple social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr etc. to market diverse media properties, products and platform synergies.

 

Required

 

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success.  Graduate degree preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing strategy and activities.

  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English.  Knowledge of Arabic preferred.

Summary

 

The Sr. Global HR Manager supports all overseas MENA staff and their supervisors in all facets of human resources management. Job Duties

Requirements

 

  • At least seven (7) years HR generalist experience with a least 1 year in a leadership capacity or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Design or other related Field

  • Fluency in Arabic and English

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and demonstrated skills in database management

  • Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems

  • Ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures, to interact effectively with a diverse population at all levels, and to facilitate decision making

  • Background in compensation and benefits administration

  • Solid experience investigating and resolving employee relations issues; current knowledge of applicable federal and state labor laws

  • Experience in a multi-cultural, international workplace is a plus

  • Sense of urgency, pro-active approach to role; confident and credible
