Location: New York, NY – Midtown Manhattan

Summary: Large multinational is seeking a collaborative and self-driven Diversity & Inclusion professional for the project management of a wide range of diversity and inclusion and women's initiatives in their New York City executive offices. Working with the Diversity & Inclusion team and Corporate Director this person will execute key projects and programming for the firm. This person should be seeking career stability, security and professional growth with a large multinational.

 

Responsibilities

  • Implement and project manage a range of highly prioritized Diversity & Inclusion objectives and initiatives, including but not limited to those involving learning and development, employee engagement and communications, and knowledge management and analysis.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for assigned department projects and programs. Address and resolve related requests, concerns, and inquiries.

  • Research, recommend and support the delivery of Diversity & Inclusion learning and development programs for attorneys and professional staff, including identifying relevant topics, speakers and presentations.

  • Develop inclusive content for internal and external communications that drive employee engagement, understanding and transparency regarding Diversity & Inclusion

  • Research, organize, maintain and present relevant global industry trends/benchmarks, and current thinking on Diversity, Inclusion & Culture "best practices".

  • Support process for fielding relevant requests from clients and industry organizations.

  • Assist in analyzing key internal metrics related to Diversity & Inclusion strategy.

  • Supervise the maintenance of a database of Diversity & Inclusion resources, programs, organizations, conferences, and events.

  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.

  • Manage Firm resources responsibly.

 

Required

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of (4) four years of related experience preferably in a large corporation; management consulting, law firm, financial institution, or professional services organization with a noted commitment to Diversity, Inclusion & Culture

  • Demonstrated professional interest in Diversity and Inclusion in a formal Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Development or Organizational Management role with focused Diversity & Inclusion Management experience

  • Strong project management experience working as part of cross-functional HR teams, from project design through implementation and ongoing assessment

  • Goal-oriented, highly organized, proactive and resourceful with a demonstrated ability to negotiate multiple stakeholders.  Ability to manage firm processes and scalability considerations to see projects to fruition

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to quickly build credibility and trust with all levels of staff

  • Must project professionalism, engagement and energy

  • Strong data analysis skills

  • Proficiency with technology resources to find solutions that drive efficiency and excellence in planning and implementation processes

  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple constituents and multiple deadlines

  • A history of creating and adhering to policies and procedures related to Diversity, Inclusion and Culture in a large multinational or professional services firm

  • Ability to work well in a demanding, upbeat and fast-paced environment in a high-profile organization

  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment while maintaining confidentiality

  • Knowledge of software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and company systems

  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within teams

  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs, special projects and special events
