Compensation
$150,000 to $350,000+ With base salary and commissions based on national TV advertising sales experience. Outstanding benefits & pension see below, please.

Job Description

For an experienced national TV advertising sales account executive who has national TV advertising sales experience and is seeking the next step in their broadcasting career.  
                     
The primary focus of this sales position is to sell national TV advertising to national advertisers and their advertising agencies for the TV Network for the West Coast Region from Washington State to Southern California 

This senior TV advertising sales national account executive should be a creative seller who enjoys working for a large global media and entertainment conglomerate.  As the brand is creative, the seller should be also.  

This TV advertising sales account executive will work independently and as a team member on special projects with:  

 

• The Networks online and mobile advertising sales teams  

• Clients at major music, video and entertainment events, tent-pole programming events, upfronts, network specials and new show openings and promotions.  

• Special TV cross-platform deals with your New York, Chicago and or Detroit sales offices.

• This national TV account executive will facilitate the selling of advertising to various clients in the West Coast region to include California, Arizona, Washington and other West Coast states.  

• Work with a tween-24 / 18-34 youth-oriented music and entertainment oriented brand and an upscale high-income demographic.  

• As this is a multiplex, you will present multiple cable channels as part of The Network's media offerings for your clients and agencies.

Required TV Advertising Sales Skills & Experience 

 

• National Cable TV Network advertising sales experience or National  Broadcast TV Network advertising sales experience.  West Coast regional sellers will only be considered if they sell to national advertisers and their agencies.

• Knowing what it is to improve sales performance by being involved from the start to the finish of the sales process.

• A commitment to learn and grow, to the betterment of the Network and the Client.  

• A person who enjoys selling in a creative manner in a creative environment.  

• A person who understands the tactical and strategic needs of a National TV Network sales organization.  

• A person who enjoys being a team player and can also function independently  

• The ability to research clients business needs and make creative presentations that capitalize on the Network's leadership in the tween, teen, young adult and youth oriented demographic and the creative content they offer across multiple TV Networks and media platforms

• Must be exceptionally polished and intelligent to work with CMO's of leading Fortune 50, 500 and 1000 companies. Conversely, also able to work in a more relaxed advertising agency media environment or with mid-sized clients.  

• A person who really enjoys music and entertainment  

• A person who enjoys and does well entertaining clients and meeting with clients at events, music awards, video awards and upfronts and is able to stay focused at these events but not be stiff.  

• Highly organized, detailed, good with follow up.  

• Always looking for new ideas when watching tv, listening to music, going to the movies or reading the paper.  

• A good sense of modern culture, current music and current entertainment  

• A person who enjoys traveling to meet with clients
