Compensation & Benefits

This position reports into the EVP of Global Sales who is a noted media executive and mentor. He is a respected leader who has a reputation in the media industry of being generous and rewarding his employees. The EVP also sells and as someone who leads by example, people truly enjoy his approach to making people successful as sales professionals and executives.
Summary and Information:
Noted U.S. based media technology company disrupting and innovating the way consumer brands reach consumers is seeking a talented Director of Advertising Sales / Consumer Activation Sales to be based in New York City. We seek a "Winning mentality advertising sales executive" who can work with some of the most talented people in the media and technology industry today. This is an individual contributor role devoted to consumer brands for The Fortune 50-1000 and Unicorn Brands.
As a Consumer Activation Platform empowering consumer brands to turn their prospects and customers into a network of "authentic" influencers. The Firm’s solutions, complement a brand’s existing marketing, marketing media and social media strategies to produce incremental sales, provide a better product experience, analytic ownership, and foster one-on-one relationships with customers. The Firm is led by a noted group of Executives, Board of Directors and Advisors with proven track records as pioneers in media, advertising, and technology across companies including Disney, Snap, Microsoft, Unilever, CBS, Viacom, and others.
We are seeking a honed sales professional who has direct sales experience to consumer brands to include the F1000 / Fortune 50-1000 and Unicorn Brands. Those with UGC and or Social Media sales experience directed to consumer brands are also greatly encouraged to apply.
The Firm’s solution is sold as a turn-key software-as-a-service (SaaS) license plus a cost per view. As annual usage grows the Firm aligns incentives, squarely with the client's objectives and it has been 100% effective utilized directly or a white label by the world's largest companies and most note consumer brands in the world.

The Firm is now poised for exceptional growth and the EVP of Global Sales is seeking a honed sales executive who has been in situations where growth has exceeded market expectations and everyone pulled their weight to benefit.
The Director of Sales will be responsible for generating significant revenue by establishing and growing strategic partnerships with consumer brand clients. The ideal Sales Director is a self-starter, dynamic, highly entrepreneurial and well connected within the marketing community of consumer brands. They will have experience working with and securing multi-million dollar and or six-figure deals directly to the F1000 / Fortune 50-1000 and or Unicorn brands who want intimate access to their consumers. A person who is a current or former Advertising Sales Executive who has sold to consumer brands will fully appreciate what is offered.
In the boardroom with a CMO or a consumer brand manager at a major automotive, CPG or Pharmaceutical, this sales executive should enjoy selling solutions "with real results" that keep consumer brands coming back for increased engagement because they work! With clients enjoying primary analytics that assure transparency and built-in standards and practices, the firm offers the world's most recognized brands control of their most valuable asset, their brands.

Consistently hit and/or exceed your revenue goals and other KPI’s. A person who enjoys their clients and wants to offer proven solutions to influence consumers.
Proactively communicate and strategically respond to marketplace demands and events by developing a steady pipeline of new business with consumer brands
Leverage existing relationships to maximize short and long-term revenue opportunities with consumer brands.
Navigate direct consumer brand relationships to identify and establish internal champions to achieve “buy-in”, which leads to strategic partnerships.
Use Salesforce to maintain organization and transparency with other team members
Initially close, then expand business with consumer brands to achieve enterprise status across multiple product lines.
You should feel comfortable with CMO's, Brand Managers and Marketers at the Fortune 50-1000 and Unicorn Brands
Champion the Firm’s mission and dominance as a "Proven" Consumer Activation Platform for consumer brands and leader in the User Generated Content category within the industry and at related industry functions. The firm offers services, technology, creativity and proven reach that no one else in the industry can offer.
5-10+ years of media sales and or advertising sales or strategic partnership or business development experience selling directly to Consumer Brands.
Exposure to Social Media, C2C or Consumer Generated Content will be considered if the sales executive have direct experience selling to consumer brands.
A track record of meeting and/or exceeding revenue goals and developing large-scale partnerships with the Fortune 50-1000 and Unicorn consumer brands
A person who feels comfortable in the boardroom with a CMO of an automotive; the brand managers at CPG's, marketers at QSR's, Beverage, Adult Beverage, Travel & Leisure, Financials, Telecom... etc. and all the senior executives and brand managers of the Fortune 50-1000 and Unicorn Brands who want to engage consumers and build brand loyalty and awareness. Should work well at an industry event in Las Vegas or an Upfront in New York, this executive should enjoy meeting with and entertaining clients in a multitude of environments.
The most recent years of your experience should be closing deals at all levels of direct brand clients. You should feel comfortable will all levels of client interaction.
Past experience introducing new products and or marketing concepts to marketers, creatives, brand managers and or CMO's at consumer brands is highly desired.
The Firm’s success with Consumer Brands of the Fortune 50-1000 and Unicorn Brands was earned, not given. We seek a sales professional who wants to be compensated for their consumer brand relationships and truly cares about their clients.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close new business and enhance relationships as each consumer brand wants additional engagement. Once a brand is engaged they all come back. You must have experience partnering with and helping to grow accounts.
A significant desire to win knowing that you offer proven efficacy and turn-key solutions that other Consumer Brands in the Fortune 50-1000 & Unicorn Brands are currently enjoying.
Familiar with social media platforms and how brands use them is a plus, to appreciate the benefits and advantages, the firm offers to "get through the social media and technology brick wall" and engage consumers.
Exposure to selling SaaS and or SaaS solutions is a plus, but not required, will train.
Knowledge of Consumer Activation, Consumer Engagement and or User Generated Content highly desired.
A person who is dedicated and wants to be mentored by noted industry executives and is prepared for rapid company and their own personal growth will enjoy the Firm’s culture, and dedicated leadership.
A person who understands the dynamics of consumers engaging other consumers for the world's leading consumer brands while allowing those brands to have direct access to their consumers, own primary vs. secondary analytics and function without the constraints of Social Media or technology firewalls.
