Summary
 

A multinational leader in the luxury goods industry located in over 60 countries is seeking a Senior Vice President of Public Relations, to be based in New York City.  This individual will be part of a succession plan allowing the incumbent to relocate to Los Angeles.

 

Compensation

​

A base salary to $560,000 plus incentives and performance-based bonuses based on MBO/KMI/KPI with annual review. ESOP, 401K Saving Plan w/match, 100% health and wellness to include vision and dental and health club membership.  Access to all firm amenities on the executive floor.  Transit plan to include private car and driver,  executive travel for domestic and international business class for all air and ground transit.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • This executive will travel extensively within the United States and Europe and to a lesser extent Asia and Latin America to manage industry events and corporate communications.

  • Work autonomously directing internal and external media producers and creatives for TV, Print, and Digital content for brands and corporate communications.

  • Manage public relations and staff for luxury brands / haute couture, press conferences, fashion shows, magazine/studio shoots, ad agency interaction, talent interaction and business affairs, photographers, model management, and luxury retail store openings.

  • Work with cross-functional marketing/sales teams for TV, Music, Motion Picture, Live Entertainment, Celebrity & Print placement to optimize exposure for each brand.  

  • Work with designers to convey creative messages for the industry and consumers for each brand in a unique and creative manner. 

  • Accomplish corporate messaging in a manner that reflects the uniqueness of each brand that is fresh and relates to the company's luxury lifestyle imaging.

  • Meet quarterly with the board to prepare for upcoming events and conferences and report the progress of the current business.

 

Required

​

  • A history of increased responsibility managing public relations and or corporate communications staff remotely and directly to create a productive and professional work environment for a noted multinational in related business(es)

  • A minimum of 10 years of directly related experience in luxury goods/fashion. 

  • Minimum of 5 years managing at least 5 direct reports consisting of Managers, Directors and or Vice Presidents.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak with press and audiences in a manner that reflects the firm's standards and the firm's luxury brands image

  • Strong creative and technical media production/post acumen to clearly direct staff including photographers, videographers, creative directors, stylists, HMU, writers, artists, and printers for PR and Corp Comm-related media materials and events.

  • Must have an exceptional sense of "style" and "fashion".

  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree desired

  • Ability to speak read and write English on an advanced level.  Italian or French as a second language is highly desired. 

  • Experience managing Ad Agency and PR Firm relationships a must.
