Director, Sports Brand Partnerships


We are seeking a Director or Senior Director of Sports Brand Partnerships responsible for developing and growing content marketing solutions in the US market.  This is a key hire based out of the New York City executive offices and reports into the Head of Sales for North America.


The Director or Senior Director of Sports Brand Partnerships is an accomplished digital, mobile, and social media sales executive, with a deep understanding of sports content marketing and native advertising solutions. He/she is entrepreneurial, smart, energetic, a problem-solver with strong communication skills and an extensive network of agency and direct client relationships that want access to sports consumers and their associated demographics. This role entails educating and securing strategic brand partnerships with East Coast agencies and brands about sports content marketing solutions.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Partner with US advertisers and ad agencies to generate advertising revenue and contribute to the company’s global brand partnerships businesses associated with the sports industries

  • Leverage existing relationships to maximize both short and long-term revenue opportunities

  • Proactively communicate and strategically respond to marketplace demands by developing a steady pipeline of new business that wants consumers associated with sports brands

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitive landscape and market trends in the Fortune 50 - 500 who want to be associated with the sports industry and sports content. 

  • Creatively package and position the firm in a highly effective manner with advertisers and agencies who want the valuable, "sports enthusiast". 

  • Meet and exceed revenue goals ar you build business




  • 5-8+ years of successful online media sales and/or multi-platform solutions sales related to selling sports-related content

  • Strong contacts at brand marketers and East Coast ad agencies who enjoy being associated with sports content.

  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue goals and developing large scale strategic partnerships with Fortune 50 - 500 and Unicorn brands

  • Expertise selling premium-brand focused content marketing solutions / advertising sales associated with sports

  • Experience introducing new products and creative marketing concepts to marketers who want access to sports fans

  • Highly collaborative; ability to work well internally with members of other key business units

  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy; roll up your sleeves mentality and a “get it done” approach

  • Highly entrepreneurial, comfortable working in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close new business

  • Superior written and oral communication skills

  • Ability/willingness to traveling frequently, entertain and attend sports related events

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required, Master’s degree a plus

  • Candidates must be capable of entertaining Fortune 50 clients with MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL, Team and League executives and represent the firm on the East Coast, in a professional manner at all times.
