Media & Entertainment Conglomerate is seeking a Manager of Corporate Communications to be based in Miami, FL.

​

This department is a dual report to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) and the office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

​

This publicly held Fortune Company is relocating substantial resources from New York and Los Angeles, and the firm will be conducting several annual special events for consumers, shareholders, employees, industry and the press.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

​

  • Manage a staff of (4) four including: PR Coordinator; Shareholder Communications Assistant; Creative Services Coordinator; and Editorial/Photo Assistant.

  • Work with cross-functional Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Shareholder Relations, Special Events and Press Teams. 

  • Assure that the Firm's TV, Motion Picture, Music personalities and Corporate Executives are seen positively at all times

  • Manage a roster of annual tent-pole events moving from Los Angeles and New York and establish local resources in Miami for the same. 

  • Develop and maintain contacts with vendors for PR events, venues, press, printing, creative resources, transportation, and catering. 

  • Attend appropriate award shows, press, and special events related to your office.

  • Maintain a complete roster of the local press, freelance photographers and video professionals

  • Monitor edit sessions and results of important media materials and ensure editorial accuracy.

  • Special projects and events as assigned by the office of the CCO and or CFO.

  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times

REQUIREMENTS

​

  • Minimum of 4 years of related Public Relations and or Corporate Communications experience. 

  • Minimum of 2 years experience managing staff internal or external to the organization

  • Bachelor's Degree; advanced degree preferred

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills and the ability to speak in public

  • Knowledge of photography, video, and the printing process 

  • Experience working with the press and coordinating press co

  • Aware of trends in the TV, Music, Fashion, Film and The Entertainment Industries

  • Experience with special events, press conferences, venue coordination, logistics and VIP/Executive interaction.

  • Consistently work on corporate placement for events in the Miami Area such as F1 Racing, Tennis, Art Basel Miami, Miami Fashion Week, NASCAR, Polo etc.

  • Attend and coordinate local charitable events to benefit the greater Miami Community twice annually with ample press coverage.

  • Any knowledge of private plane transportation, equine logistics and yacht dockage in the Miami area is considered a plus, but not required.
