One of America's top cable TV networks and the #1 cable network online with people who watch the most TV is seeking a seasoned national DIGITAL ONLINE sales executive.  Couple the Network's #1 sitcom premiere, movie & music and fashion award shows in the history of cable, and you have a pretty amazing story to share with advertisers online and across all four (4) TV Networks,


This multiplex, multicast, multichannel TV Network is seeking a National Digital Account Executive to join the sales team in Los Angeles to share vast and diverse audiences with national advertisers.  The primary focus of this role is to generate national digital advertising revenue working closely with key clients and advertising agencies. 


This West Coast Online Advertising Account Executive will also work closely with the Director of West Coast Digital Sales and other members of the sales team to strategize on building revenue for the network.  This Online Advertising Cable TV Network Account Executive will be based in Los Angeles and report to the Director of West Coast Advertising Sales.

This West Coast TV Network National Online Advertising Account Executive plays an important role within the Network sales team and is responsible for managing key relationships with agencies and clients. This digital advertising sales executive must be a client-focused seller who has experience in national advertising media sales. 


The TV Network Digital Account Executive will develop, close and manage business from new and existing national accounts on the West Coast.  This TV Network Online Sales Executive must be able to create, develop and execute sales strategies and proposals.  This role is important throughout the entire year, and is a critical role during TV Network Upfronts and TentPole TV & Online Programing. 


Specifically, the TV Network Account Executive will


  • Nurture and grow the TV network’s digital sales efforts with targeted clients and identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell.

  • Create and implement sales strategies that resonate with the TV network’s online and on-air current and potential clients.

  • Create sales presentations for key, target categories and accounts within the West Coast territory from Washington to Southern California that reflect the diversity of one of the world's largest media and entertainment conglomerates

  • Generate revenue that meets or exceeds the TV Network’s Digital budget.

  • Participate in the digital upfront and negotiations with advertising agencies and directly with clients seeking tween, tween to teen, teen to young adult, young adult, adult and adult to empty nester advertising options.

  • Effectively collaborate with multiple TV Network departments in order to achieve TV Network Digital objectives and optimize revenue through strategic and creative means.

  • Continually identify, define, and quantify both existing and new revenue opportunities.

  • Utilize West Coast TV Network and Digital sales support staff, and research as necessary to meet client’s needs.

  • Attend weekly internal digital cross-platform sales meetings for creative sales ideas.


Job Requirements & Qualifications


The West Coast Cable TV Network Nationa Digital Account Executive we seek, will be an experienced, driven and innovative DIGITAL advertising sales professional. This executive will be part of a collaborative sales team helping to grow overall TV Network revenues. 


This national digital sales professional will be an effective sales executive who has experience, and existing relationships, with the advertising agency / media buying community.  The ideal candidate will have a proven capability in niche selling strategies in lieu of traditional “ratings-only” selling.  Conversely, our ideal candidate could be on the agency side managing large accounts. 


In addition, all candidates should possess the following    


  • A minimum of 5-7 years a digital online advertising sales experience or digital account management on the agency side.

  • Strong communication skills to present to major fun and creative advertising agencies and clients.  You should feel comfortable entertaining clients at events, concerts, upfronts, award shows and also being in the boardroom of a Fortune 50-1000 presenting to a CMO.  You must be able to function in corporate and creative environments. 

  • Strong relationships with advertising agencies and national advertising clients that allow for the presentation of special events, integrated advertising opportunities, and standard online advertising sales opportunities across all (4) four diverse TV Networks.

  • The ability to structure deals and develop strong client relationships as part of one of the nation’s leading multichannel multiplex cable TV networks serving diverse audiences that are highly desired by national advertisers.

  • Experience working as part of a sales organization and growing your own business because you enjoy working in the media and entertainment industry.

  • Strong analytical and digital planning abilities for strategic sales development, including interpretation of media research and analysis for effective use as a media sales tool.

  • Superior communications skills; the ability to keep all parties informed and aware of key issues surrounding this role.  You should be creative and know when to ask for help, advice, guidance or collaboration with your fellow team members. 

  • Ability to get along and work productively with all colleagues in sales, marketing, research, programming and brand solutions.    

  • A track record of successfully increasing digital ad sales revenues.
