Summary

One of America's most recognized media and entertainment TV Networks as a true multiplex, multichannel offering is seeking an experienced online advertising sales executive to join the online advertising sales team in New York City.   As a part of one of the world's largest media and entertainment conglomerates this highly sought after brand for national advertisers is seeking a talented digital advertising sales executive for career stability and growth.  
  

This national online advertising sales executive for the East Coast Region will identify prospects for national online ad sales, and generate revenue for the fastest growing area of the TV Network(s).  The TV Network(s) are true, multichannel, multiplatform, multiplex media properties and this sales executive will work in a collaborative environment for support, ideation, planning and cross-platform opportunities for your clients.
 

This National Digital Account Executive will work closely with the Vice President and Director of Digital Ad Sales and other members of the sales team to strategize on building overall digital revenue for the Network.  This Digital sales executive will be based in New York City in the firm's beautiful executive offices in Midtown Manhattan.
 

Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • The Digital Account Executive will play an important and key role within the TV Network(s) digital advertising sales team and be responsible for managing key relationships with advertising agencies and direct clients who are national advertisers. 

  • This sales executive should be a client-focused collaborative seller who has experience in national online/digital media advertising sales.

  • You will create and present creative opportunities for cross-platform online advertising to agencies and clients who enjoy access to a 100 million plus audience of the most desired demographic(s) in the industry. 

  • This East Coast National Digital AE will develop, close and manage business from new and existing national accounts and will create and execute sales strategies and proposals that agencies and direct Fortune 50-100 companies will enjoy.


The New York City; East Coast Region Digital Sales Executive will:

 

  • Nurture and grow the network’s digital sales efforts by targeting clients who are national advertisers.

  • Structure deals and develop strong business relationships that capitalize on the tween to teen, teen, young adult and adult offerings across all brands and the (4) four TV Networks Digital Offerings.

  • Enhance revenue through a balance of direct sales to national advertisers and their advertising agencies.

  • Create and identify convergent opportunities with advertisers that capitalize on the interactive properties unique programming and the (4) Four TV Network's capacity to attract a desirable demographic based on their TV series, music, entertainment, tentpole programming, award shows and information dominance of culture, music, fashion, lifestyle and entertainment.  As well as their unique on-line programming.

  • Sell across all digital lifestyle, music, movie and entertainment programming, and digital content that is aligned with each TV Network based on the client's desired demographic(s).

  • Create fun, effective and entertaining sales presentations with your ideation team for key target categories and accounts.  Generate digital ad sales revenue that meets or exceeds budgets by meeting the needs of your clients and their agencies as a trusted business partner.

  • Collaborate with multiple internal creative and business departments to achieve network objectives and optimize revenue as you see fit to utilize the resources available to you.

  • Continually identify, define, and quantify both existing and new revenue opportunities that are cutting edge in the media, music and entertainment industry.  Must "enjoy" reading, participating and staying in touch with current trends in the media and entertainment industries.

  • Keep sales management informed of new business and existing business development that requires a collaborative effort to bring business to fruition.

  • Attend the weekly internal TV Network and Cross-Platform sales management meeting and be willing to bring up creative ideas, trends or thoughts related to Digital or TV Network revenue objectives. A person who enjoys collaborative and creative selling.

  • Keep management appraised of progress with current and prospective business and work collaboratively with the Digital Director to develop strategies that develop new business and enhance budgets.  

 

The Digital Advertising Sales Skills and Experience Required

 

  • The Digital Account Executive will be an experienced, driven, polished and innovative national interactive sales professional that "loves what they do".

  • This national advertising sales professional will be part of a collaborative sales team helping to grow overall digital revenue(s).  They must have national interactive advertising sales experience building existing relationships with the appropriate agency/media buying community and enjoy building new relationships. 

  • A minimum of 3 to 5+ years of national digital advertising sales experience managing a list of national accounts with agencies and direct clients.  Your relationships in New York should be strong.

  • Experience working with other media platforms synergistically such as TV, Radio, Mobile or Print are a plus.

  • The capacity to enhance revenue through consultative selling skills.  A person who listens to their client's needs and also creates opportunities by being creative.

  • Strong communication skills to present to major advertising agencies and clients in a clear and concise manner.

  • Good relationships with agencies and clients that allow for the presentation of special events, integrated advertising opportunities and digital sales opportunities surrounding TV Network Programming and exclusive Special Online Programing developed for the digital platforms.

  • The ability to structure deals with confidence as part of one the nation’s leading cable TV networks(s) and entertainment companies serving a loyal and devoted viewing audience.

  • Experience working as part of a professional and collaborative national advertising sales organization and growing your own business with an entrepreneurial spirit. 

  • Strong analytic abilities to interpret media research and analysis for use as sales tools and planning.

  • The ability to work productively with all your colleagues in sales, marketing, research, programming and creative brand solutions as part of cross-functional teams. 

  • A track record of successfully increasing digital ad sales revenue by building honest, caring and meaningful relationships with your agencies and clients.

  • Ability to thrive in an upbeat, positive, and fast-paced environment when award shows and tent-pole programming come about with highly desired inventory.  Everyone wants your inventory!

  • A Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in a related field preferred
